Kiva.org has funding to allow people to sign up and contribute $25 to a microloan to an entrepreneur on their site. You get to choose someone who wants to help themselves from the comfort of your own home. They have a good selection of people on the site and I think you’ll find someone whose story speaks to you.
I personally have an account and have loaned my own money. It’s a great feeling to know that the little bit I contribute is helping someone else help themselves.
